Possible Service Projects to help
The children of Rancho Damacitas

1.    Construction and installation of lockers.  This is a project that would require the building of six lockers.  These should be approximately six feet in height, two feet across, and three feet deep, with a single shelf towards the top and a dowel beneath the shelf for hanging clothes.

2.    Creation of concrete curbing around numerous flower beds and existing parking areas around the administrative building.  This would require the acquisition of the concrete, framing the beds with bender type board, mixing and smoothing of the concrete.

3.    Our recreation field is in need of some new mulch.  There are several planting areas around the field that need to have new mulch applied.  This project would involve the securing of the mulch and spreading it.

4.    Within our 12 ½ acres there are numerous projects that involve weed abatement and clearing to create usable space.  This project can be tailored to fit the size of any group.  We ask that individuals bring their own tools and weed eaters.

5.    We have several pergola structures on our campus for meeting areas.  We would like to see concrete poured beneath each structure.  This is a project that can be split into multiple projects.  It would require the acquisition of the concrete, framing of the area and smoothing of the surface.

6.    To complete our “bus stop” we need a concrete sidewalk poured to the new location.  This is a large project and can be broken into different phases for multiple groups.  We need approximately 60-70 feet of concrete poured at a width of three feet.  This project would require the acquisition of the concrete, placing a border, mixing and pouring the concrete.

7.     As we continue to develop our campus area we are striving to have small outdoor meeting areas for our therapists to meet with our youth.  This project would involve the pouring of small cement pads approximately 10 x 10.  We are hoping to add two additional locations. 

8.     Scattered in a peaceful creek setting on our campus are numerous cement pads with benches that our therapists use when speaking with our clients.  It would be great to have those areas connected with a walking path.  We are open to design options, but would like something long lasting and durable.  This is a large project and it can be broken down into different stages for different groups.

9.     Our main campus consists of 12.5 acres and provides play space for the majority of our clients. We would love to have a full-court basketball court installed. We have already identified the ideal location and now need the court to be installed.

10.    Two existing buildings on our main campus are in need of slatted patio covers. These covers would serve to keep the sun from directly shining into the cottages and help with the cooling of the cottages. We are requesting these covers be constructed at the Ranch House and Cottage 5.
